Good tv at a good price

Bought the 37rv525r from Amazon in January 2010. Liked it so much I bought the 40rv525r in February when the price fell to $2.00 less then I paid for the 37. So if I bought 2 you can already tell what I think of this TV. It is a great set for under 600.00 and I am very happy with both (although I gave the 37 to a family member to enjoy). Also, bought both through Amazon and the shipping was great and very fast.
AMERICA, F*** YEAH!!

Well, more like Japan, F*** YEAH!! This TV is everything I thought it would be. I had been researching flat screen's for weeks, and I finally setteled on this because it was the biggest screen I could get for the money. The TV arrived 2 days after placing the order and it was extremely easy to set up. From the time I openend the box until the time I was laying in bed and watching was probably about 15 minutes. The picture quality from my Playstation 3 via a $10 HDMI cable (do not be suckered into paying for an expensive HDMI) looks beautiful. I just swapped out my old cable box for an HD box so I cant wait to see how that looks. My only complaint would be that I was having issues with the VGA cable I purchased to hook my PC up to it. The TV will not always recognize the PC linkup and I have to spend 20 minutes jiggling the cable around. I am guessing that the issue lies with the cable itself and not the TV. I will purchase a better quality cable and see how that works. Other than that, as I stated before, this TV is awesome. The people who say this is good for the spare bedroom must make alot more money than I do because I could not see myself putting this in a guest bedroom unless my guest was some sort of foreign dignitary.
Good picture, terrible sound

I have had this TV now for 2 months & overall, I am pleased. It is an entry level HDTV. For that price, getting 1080p resolution is a huge bargain. The TV looks nice & sleek. The setup is a breeze. No adjustments were needed. The picture was bright & sharp right out of the box. The picture quality, while not as awesome as my Sony Bravia which cost me a LOT more, is better than you would expect from a set costing under $600. The only negative, and it is a big one, is the awful sound quality. The loudness quality is just unacceptable! It sits in a pretty small room, yet the sound does not fill up the whole room even when at the top volume. Obviously, I did not want to spend hundreds of dollars on a sound system for a $600 TV. After some research, I found one with a subwoofer on sale for under $100 which made a tremendous difference. Now, I am very satisfied.
In summary, it is a good buy for the money but you will need to add external sound system.
Great intro to the HD world

As an entry level TV this works rather well. Looks great with my 360, PS3, and makes a great PC monitor with a DVI-HDMI cable. If you are looking for an entry level HD TV that won't break the bank then this is the one. I could not be more pleased with the product.
DO NOT BUY!!! Shipper CEVA is corrupt!

I purchased this item on February 8th and set-up shipment through Amazon for between 4-8 PM on February 15th. I wasted 4 hours of my life (4 to 8 PM) waiting for this TV. It never showed up. I called the shipper - CEVA [...] and they even admitted to having my shipping info on file, but never delivering it. Absolutely NO attempt was made to contact me to let me know that they were not going to deliver my item. No phone number is listed on my tracking information so I had to look up CEVA and find their phone number on their website in order to contact them. They won't admit to why they missed my appointment. What is the point of me setting up a delivery appointment if the shipper - CEVA is going to completely disregard it. Amazon needs to stop offering shipping appointments if they are not going to honor those appointments.
