My title says it all. Really excited when LG HDTV arrived at door and was installed. Imagine how excited I was when I finally turned it on!! Wow, Xbox360 and SAMSUNG blueray player looks amazing in 720p. It looks just as beautiful as our SAMSUNG 1080P HDTV in basement. Now four months later I discovered a debug menu for further color/image/frimware options. Its amazing how much options and control LG crammed into this tv for video and sound quality!! nice!!
Best value!

I did a lot of research before I purchased this tv. I was debating whether i want LCD or Plasma, 1080p or 720p, 42" or 46" or 50". I had no starting point, besides a budget of up to $1200. After extensive research, i decided to get the 50pq30. It was on sale at 6th ave electronics for $749.
The image quality is incredible. Don't be fooled by 1080p, only Blue Ray is 1080p. Cable HD transmits in 720p so even if you were to get a 1080 tv, if you were going to watch cable hd on it, you would be seeing a 720 image.
This is an incredible tv at a great price.
Cons...
Glare can be bad if you have a light source behind or next to you, such as a window or lamp.
very satisfied.

Remote sensor issue

Ok, im sorry to break the good reviews of this TV. But im giving this TV 2 stars only for the fact that i purchased through another company (beach camera), had the TV for like one day, then all of a sudden the remote stops working. Next day it worked again, then a week later it stopped, then started working again. I went online and found out quite a few people have had a problem with this, apparently the Infrared sensor on the TV itself could be on its way out. That kind of sucks for me, as i have a home in the caribbean, of where the TV was shipped so to get a repair guy to come out is kind of out of the question.
I'm still waiting to hear what LG support will do. If they can get out a new sensor board to me without any hassle, i would gladly put up the stars to 4 or 5, cause it really is a nice TV, but this remote issue is really getting me upset, especially after spending so much money.
Never believe editor reviews , but believe and take in customers reviews.

I like many others have shyed away from purchasing a plasma hdtv. Myths of burn in and glare aren't completely false , but you would have to try your best to get an burned in image due to the white wash option that this LG has. The tv is great , and it's great for people with an budget that want big budget quality . Currently I have my directv and my PS3 hooked up to this tv set and the HD movies and games are phenomenal . I even recently hooked up my PSP through the usb cable on the side of this hdtv and listen to music , looked at photos , and watched videos on my 50 inch screen. Great product for a great price. Useless you just have to spend an extra 400 bucks for a 1080p hdtv with 120hz.
